Making Friends with Yourself (MFY) is a Mindful Self-Compassion Program for Teens & Young Adults (aged 11 to 20 years). It is a brilliant program for adolescents providing a wide variety of self-compassion skills using developmentally appropriate language and activities. According to research, if all teens learned self-compassion early on, so much unnecessary suffering can be prevented!
If you are a parent who is interested in learning Mindfulness practices to help navigate the parenting process and deepen your connection with your family, the Mindful Self-Compassion program can help. Through this program, parents will be exposed to methods of problem solving and communicating that will help build personal emotional resilience in order to deal with the many ups and downs during the parenting process.
The ninety-minute experiential workshop into Mindfulness is designed to introduce participants to it's benefits. We will teach you to cultivate moment-to-moment awareness through gentle meditation, a focus on the breath, and the encouragement of a kinder, more compassionate way of relating to your mind and body.
