You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf! Jon Kabat-Zinn, Founder of The Center for Mindfulness
What if there was something that could give you a stronger, healthier brain, lowered your stress, helped protect you against anxiety and depression, gave you a better sleep, and improved your mood – all without any side effects except a happier, healthier, calmer version of you? What if science could back it all up in terms of its restorative, protective, healing powers, with countless research studies? And what if this remarkable, restorative little gem could be in your hands right now? Well it can!!!
Mindfulness Lowers Stress, Increases Emotional Balance, Increases Resilience and Coping Abilities, Reduces Anxiety, Slows Aging, Reduces Physical Pain, Reduces Depression, Increases Awareness, Improves Sleep, Reduces Fatigue, Improves Concentration, Improves Relationships, and so much more......
Mindfulness is increasingly being recognised as an incredibly helpful tool to ease and calm a range of mental health & relationship issues including depression, anxiety & stress. When we add Self-Compassion to Mindfulness, we greatly increase the power of positive transformation in our lives, along with our capacity for happiness and contentment. Through the Mindful Self-Compassion Program (MSC), participants are taught core principles and practices that enable them to respond to difficult moments in the lives with kindness, care and understanding.
Making Friends with Yourself (MFY) is a Mindful Self-Compassion Program for Teens & Young Adults (aged 11 to 20 years). The goal of this program is to help teens turn towards the emotional ups and downs of this life stage with greater ease, to offer them specific tools to recognise and manage their struggles, and to help them learn how to meet these struggles with awareness, kindness, understanding & compassion. According to research, if all teens learned this type of information early on, so much unnecessary suffering can be prevented!
If you are a parent who is interested in learning Mindfulness practices to help navigate the parenting process and deepen your connection with your family, the Mindful Self-Compassion program can help. Through this program, parents will be exposed to methods of problem solving and communicating that will help build personal emotional resilience in order to deal with the many ups and downs during the parenting process.
This ninety-minute experiential workshop into Mindfulness is designed to help participants understand and cultivate moment-to-moment awareness through gentle meditation, a focus on the breath, and the encouragement of a kinder, more compassionate way of relating to their mind and body.
